29th Birthday!

How I spent my birthday, if I could put it nicely, was definitely not so great.

It was Saturday, yet I had to work from 7 AM-6 PM, outside of town.
My family was on vacation, and my husband had a meeting he could not miss.
I thought, it was not so bad to not be home considering everyone was unavailable, but damn it was such a tiring day lol.
I tried to keep my birthday a secret from people at work, until the HR from my company uploaded a happy birthday poster with my face on it. Making everyone at work knew it was my birthday, and they have everybody (including a room full of clients) singing happy birthday to me!
This is a new experience, idk what to feel about it honestly hahaha

Still, it was just fascinating to me how I got more birthday messages from brands such as: Sushi Tei, Prodia, even still from NS (Dutch train company), etc compared to people I personally know.
I've always been a homebody (with occasional travel here and there) but tbh I think this kind of thing comes with age. Since I refused to spend it just by working and sleeping, I decided to book a hotel and invited a close friend I've known since forever. We had our food delivered and we slept at 10PM. No lie, it was indeed a tiring day for me.

I saw the post of my 28th birthday and I said I'd update my Japan trip experience (which I failed to do).
It was just sad to think that for the past year I was not really writing anything on this blog.
Not that I have nothing to write, but I was pretty occupied with a new job I started a year ago.
It required so much travelling that I suddenly did not miss travelling (for fun) anymore.
But I guess that's just how adulthood is like. It really takes effort to keep doing what you like doing.
Just as it takes effort to keep the people you like around, it also takes effort to stay in touch with some parts of your life. It's just crazy easy to lose things (and people) really.

Despite this birthday kinda feeling like a filler episode. But overall, I feel so grateful to still be who I am at this age. This is (mostly) so fun still!
