Thailand 2019

I went to Thailand for the first time with my friend last March. Been planning about this trip since November 2018 in a warehouse while we were exhhaausted lol.
I love the vibe of all cities I visited which are Ayutthaya, Bangkok, and Chiang Mai as they felt vibrant and religious (if that's the correct word).

These are some pics of the old town of Ayutthaya. Compared to Bangkok, this city has less hustle and bustle vibe of a big city. Although to say that it was tranquil may be an overstatement. But it's alright considering that this place attracts a lot of tourists. This town has many temples and it did remind me of Jogjakarta and Central Java back in Indonesia although the style of the temples are different. I ended the day cruising the river with a boat and that was obviously the highlight of my trip.

Our next stop was Chiang Mai where we visited Karen Long-Neck Village. Although at the beginning it was a kind of making me wonder why you should pay 500 baht just to see people, I then understood that the Karens need it for their village development. They got their money from the entrance fee and also from selling accessories and souvenir. Entering the village, you'll see how their stalls lined up and I bought 3 brass bracelets because they're cute lol. You can also take pictures with the villagers and they will gladly smile with you.

These are the pictures of the famous temple of Doi Suthep. I can safely say that we liked it here! Just like what I said, it was vibrant and religious and I just love to feel that way. We bought strawberries and smoothies for only 5-20 bahts and they tasted wonderfuuul! I swear I got the freshest and cheapest fruits here in Thailand and not even once they didn't taste amazing. We also made our visit to other temples and night market. But I barely took photos because I felt like my feet were sooo sore from endless walking everyday so I just sat down.

Our last stop was Bangkok! Just like the typical capital city you can feel the hustle-bustle vibe in this place. Traffic jams, crowds, and heat that stings!(just like in Jakarta). We utilized the public transportation and it was very comfortable!
We did have a lot of time strolling around the city from the Khaosan Road to Chatuchak Market.
What I like about this city, besides the cheap tasty foods are the feeling of modernity and Thai traditional building and culture blends assimilates nicely. Didn't take many pics in here but in the famous Wat Arun Temple! But I did a lot of Thai Food feaasst while I could taste the best taste of tomyum and mango sticky rice.
Ah, I miss them terribly!

8/10 enjoyed the visit if it's not because of the terrible line at Suvarnabhumi Airport while I was about to return home and almost missed my flight!

Cheers,
Suha!
