Finally, 20
Oh well, now I am 20 years old already!
For a girl who always considers herself a teenager, this fact is pretty shocking since I'll become a young
adult in no time.
Things happened. Some were good. Some were not.
People came and left. Some were great. Some were.. meh.
Though I haven't been through a lot of things but I do have a list of 20 precious lessons I've got until
this time of my life:
1. It's okay to feel insecure as most people you see everyday feel that too sometimes.
2. Everybody has their own way. No need to feel above or below somebody.
3. Do your best in things that are worthy to you. Do that soooooooo well you wouldn't
regret even when you fail.
4. Love, compassion, and company are the best gifts of all.
5. Try and keep trying even when you keep on failing. It would lead you somewhere you've
never been.
6. Maturity can't be measured by age. Someone younger could be wiser than you. Listen
to what people say.
7. The way you deliver a message is AS IMPORTANT AS the message itself. Be smart in
communicating.
8. Be responsible. You can believe things that are against your surrounding's belief. But
you must be brave enough to take the responsibilities.
9. Some people even have to strive just to keep alive. Be thankful.
10. Find your life goal and pursue it. Be focus on it because doing all freaking things that
are believed good by people, doesn't always mean good and useful to you.
11. Knowledge and strength are timeless while physical beauty isn't.
12. Be nice, preserve, and persistent. Be all that even when people are not kind to you.
13. Have pride. Fight for your rights. Speak up. Let people hear you.
14. It's okay to make mistakes sometimes. You need that to deeply understand some things.
15. But, making same mistakes over and over again is not okay. It's stupid.
16. Not all people have the same perspective as you. It's okay. Appreciate people.
17. YOLO does not mean do all things as you wish. A better meaning of YOLO is that you
have to do things sooo precious you will be remembered even for centuries after
you're gone since most people will be forgotten in less than 25 years since their deaths.
18. Things can get really messy and imperfect most of times. And please note that your
job is not to make all things perfect.
19. Because continuous imperfection in many aspects of your life does not mean that
your life sucks. It's just beautiful in their own mysterious way.
20. Trust is that expensive you should never break it. And someone you can trust is
infinity times more expensive.
Among all lessons I have stated above, the lesson #5 will be the highlight of this year, I believe.
Continuous rejections hurt. But it'll hurt me more not to try at all.
But... the most important message of all is: don't forget to have a lot of fun!
